Yummy Random Stuff

I hate Mondays, but who doesn't? LOL. I wanted to start my day with yumminess, these are my photos of random things i fun pretty in color or just in subject. Those cups, are so pretty, they have glitter and sequin in them. I got them from Target in the dollar section..woot woot.

My Jewelry Box

I  love Fake Costume Jewelry. Most of my collection come from flea markets, and Sally, an elderly lady who passed away and her family said that we can have whatever we wanted, because it was me and my mom who would care for her. So i saw she had fake costume Jewelry and i fell in love with them. Her son says "Go ahead, take ,it will end up in the trash" So i took them. Awwww I love love love them. Some are a rare find i'm sure and you don't see Jewelry made like this anymore. Back then , this was a true art form, all made by hand and care. So the photos below is my Jewelry Box, mixed with old and new, but it's so fun dressing up, i LOVE BEING GIRLY...LOL!

Let Them Eat Cake!

Marie Antoinette

This past week in my group, i had a contest on Marie Antoinette, the only rule was to make a collage based on Marie and it must have cupcakes/cakes. These are the wining sets from 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners, which the members voted, but i think these are so good. I love how they are layered and how they represented the contest well. I love all the girly touches they have, and all the little details with flowers, ribbons, butterflies and of course CAKE..lol
I want to say thank you to all the winners and to all who took part in this YUMMY contest! HUGs

EYE CANDY!

I love this artist, her name is MOLLY Z.
She has some of the best designs that i have seen around. She creates these patterns that are so cool, yummy and colorful. Her designs are truly one of a kind. My favorite is a logo she made for an ice cream company and its that girl with shades on with retro grooviness behind her, and a big fluffy afo...LOL, so i made a set out of it. I love ice cream too, but then again who doesn't? To see more of her yummy work and other awesome designs she has created visit her site here.

For The Love Of Art!

These ares some of my original artwork. Mostly based on my travels to Guatemala, Peru and Costa Rica. I have been drawing and painting since i was a little girl, but it wasn't until my junior year in high school, that i realized ART is what i wanna do , and i can't live my life without it. I use mostly acrylic paints, and my canvases are 18x24, the smallest i go is 16x24 or 9x12. I love details and textures so i use a palette knife instead of a paint brush.I do get asked a lot  why i do not add faces to my paintings, i leave them faceless so the viewer can put themselves in the painting and as time goes by i may forget the faces of these people i meet when i traveled, but God will always remember their names and face. I also love color so using a colorful background reflects a lot on my culture and how colorful we are as well.

Prints for my paintings are  available , if interested do email me.
