The Magic in Movies

I adore movies that are unexpected and "weird"
Alice in Wonderland, Big Fish, Willy Wonka, Across the Universe and now this awesome magical movie will be added to my list " The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus" It's a movie that has an all star cast Like Johnny Depp, Jude Law and it is also Heath Ledger's last film. When i saw the movie trailer i fell off my chair, my jaw dropped and i wanted to jump into my laptop. Why can't i find a world like that?*sigh* The movie has a gypsy feel to it, full of magic and i'm sure it will be a visual candy shop. It also askes the question "Can you put a price on your Dreams?" If this movie's plot sucks(hope not) i'm sure it will still be appreciated for it's creativeness, fabulous costumes *dies*, stage production..OMG! and awesome actors who know how to draw you into their characters. Also the lovely model Lily Cole plays Valentina, the Doctor's Daugther. Her images are very muched used in poly!

Synopsis
"The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus is a fantastical morality tale, set in the present day. It tells the story of Dr Parnassus and his extraordinary 'Imaginarium', a travelling show where members of the audience get an irresistible opportunity to choose between light and joy or darkness and gloom". Opens in theathers Christmas Day!

NEW MOON!

This movie really lived up to all the hype. NEW MOON blow me away. This time around it is filled with action. Bella was more articulate and expressed herself a lot, which made me LOVE her character more. Finally some real emotions from her. In twilight she did this twichting thing that was annoying and it had me counting her multi blinks per frame. I love both Edward and Jacob, but i always liked Jacob more and let me tell you, i think this movie will make many "TEAM EDWARDS" convert to "TEAM JACOB" . Jacob was presented well in this movie, he was a sweet, caring, funny, witty, smartass wolf with a few anger issues, but that was hot! The good thing to was Jacob loosing the long hair.

There was a moment when i knew Edward would loose followers, that was when Edward wanted to reveal himself to the humans so that the volturi can kill him. *SLOW MOTION* Edward walks paled face, depressed as he slllllllllllloooooooooooooowly removes his shirt. Once his sparkly body was revealed all i heard was "CHRIP" silence.....crickets....WAT??? No one yelled and not one person went banannas for Edward..LMAO! Well because after a long time staring at Jacob with a warmer tint to his skin and looking "Sorta Beautiful" peeking at Edward was kinda painful. He should stick to clothes for now, but yes i do love edward too, man i sound like bella! Speaking of clothes, i also noticed that Edward was a bit fashionable, his BIG HAIR wasn't so big, it looked lovely and pleasant to rub your hands through it. Bella's outfits were more stylish, a bit more color. I think NEW MOON will top Twilight. This movie has it all, action, drama, saddness and funny moments. It also has some treaser moments where you will melt in your seat and smile without really realizing your smiling..wink! PLUS the bigggest treaser of them all is the end...OH my..won't say much on it because you have to go and see it. So getting my tickets online, having this date marked in my calender for months, waiting in the theather for three hours (we got there at 9pm) was all WORTH IT! Now i can't wait for Eclipse! oxoxoxoxoox

Here are some Poly setties all about Jacob

I recently tried my Splash Color Tights...They Rock! Love the Tie dye look to it, and when the sun set it matched the colors in the sky as well...lol aweeeee! I find that with tights like these it's best to wear them with black because that will make the colors pop more.

JEANTRIX

So excited to be attending Jeantrix fashion on November 28th, hosted by Raquel Reed. These guys rock and they are from Philly! Jeantrix...the clothing line for the out of the box consumer, the movement was founded in 2003 by two young designers.Tired of the boring casual wear of today's urban youth, the two decided that it was time for a change. Starting with a simple pair of sneakers, the designers used their artistic abilities to manipulate clothing and design things as a means of recreation. Not realizing the level of talent they possessed they began to design more and more clothing until finally deciding on creating a clothing line in the winter of 2004. Around the sametime the following year, orders for the clothing line had increased and the "buzz" of JEANTRIX was in the air. (From their site)

OH what to wear! LOL

This project and contest is so cool. In order to spread awareness for heart diease in women, Tim Gunn's partnered up with Campbell's soup to fight this number one killer in women.
To help spread awareness there was a contest to design a RED dress with the campbell soup logo provided. The deadline to enter has ended, but to see who made TOP THREE we would all have to visit the main site in January 4-28. During this time we can vote on which dress we want to represent this cause in Februay. The Prize...Winner gets their dress made and be seen in the red carpet with Tim Gunn's and many more celebraties who help with this cause. WISH me luck. Below is my design. It was inspired by Elizabeth Taylor.
It is a V-neck Chiffon layered dress, with a "C" ( for campbell soup) encusted with gold diamonds. Gold sequin trimming.

The awesome Vivienne Tam and Poly held a contest. We had to create a settie based on our personnel style using her clothes full of colors and prints and china inspirations.
Love VT's clothing. Vivienne herself would pick the winners. She picked mines as first place.
YAY..what a surprise, seriously. The prize is 500 to shop in her site, an autograph book "China Chic", and featured in her website.

Here is my winning set
